Dear colleagues,

The ET Scientific Programme Committee has been working diligently on putting together the next edition of what has become a mainstay conference for interventional radiologists wishing to stay on the cutting edge of our specialty.

We are looking forward to bringing you state of the art procedural knowledge, the latest trends and developments in the materials and tools sector, and of course the latest research results.

Just as embolization applications keep expanding, so does our programme, with session topics covering everything from radioembolization to men’s and women’s health to trauma to many, many more.

Of particular interest, we will have a strong focus on MSK interventions, as new data has made this field even more dynamic, with embolization techniques being used to remedy a great variety of conditions. We also very much look forward to hearing about the latest study and registry results about prostate artery embolization, another hugely important field for embolotherapy.

ET 2025 will also shine a spotlight on paediatric interventions, as the problems our youngest patients present vary greatly from those of adults, thus requiring a very specific skill set.

All available materials will be covered not only in dedicated lectures, but also in various hands-on device trainings, giving attendees the opportunity to gain practical knowledge hands-on. With the continuous development of resorbable and bio-degradable embolics potentially creating new indications and applications, we will especially look at liquids and particles, which although trickier in their application, can yield amazing results.

The trauma sessions will certainly be a must-see for all interventionalists, as the incredible, life-saving procedures our specialty can provide should be available in every hospital.

Following a call for abstracts starting in December, the best scientific papers will be presented at a dedicated session, underlining the importance of widening our evidence base to further consolidate our clinical relevance.

The deep dive sessions introduced at ET 2024 met with a very positive response. Congress-goers greatly enjoyed being able to further discuss the topics that had previously been presented in the auditoria in a smaller, more informal setting, adding their expertise and experiences to the debate. We will therefore again offer four deep dive sessions every day and anticipate many fruitful discussions.

Another integral part of ET 2025 will of course be the satellite symposia, giving us the chance to stay up to date on the latest tools and materials. In order to make them available to the greatest possible audience, they will again be provided free of charge to all interested parties via the online congress platform.

With Porto as our beautiful host city and a very dedicated Local Host Committee, we are very excited to a explore a new venue and look forward to seeing you all there!
